Foundation for Community Dance publishes new handbooks for community dance artists

The Foundation for Community Dance are thrilled to announce the launch of four brand new National College for Community Dance Handbooks. The handbooks tackle contextual aspects of their focus areas as well as offering creative and practical guidance. They are the essential study resources, and tangibly cater for people just starting out in their community dance practice and for more experienced leaders of community dance ready to hone their skills and focus on working with particular groups and communities.

The series includes:

  •  Passport to practice by Diane Amans
  •  An induction to professional practice in community dance
  •  Dance, health and wellbeing by Miranda Tufnell
  •  Pathway to practice for dance leaders working in health and care settings
  •  Dance and disabled people by Isabel Jones
  •  Pathway to practice for dance leaders working with disabled people
  •  Dance and age inclusive practice by Ruth Pethybridge
  •  Pathway to practice for dance leaders bringing different age groups together in their communities
