Creative opportunity for technical director in site-specific event

Wimborne Community Theatre is looking for someone creative with experience and knowledge of using lighting and sound equipment for performance, who would like the challenge of developing this aspect of the company’s next show, which will take place in an industrial Victorian building in Wimborne.

Although we are not able to offer a fee on this occasion, we see this as an opportunity for someone to explore sound and lighting creatively and influence the project’s development. We will contribute towards transport costs.

If you think you’d like to be involved, please get in touch as soon as possible. Contact: Gill Horitz 01202 882740 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Sunday August 29  Sting in the Tail Festival
Saturday, September 11  Dorset Architectural Heritage Week

The event will use part of the Pump House, owned by Bournemouth and West Hampshire Water, as a back drop for a mosaic of storytelling on the theme of water - from local people’s memories of the rivers Stour and Allen to the retelling of traditional myths, using storytelling, theatre performance, singing, dance, sound and film installations.

2011 is the twentieth anniversary of WCT developing community theatre in local sites of particular interest.
