European Commission 'Youth in Action' Programme

The European Commission is inviting applications from non-profit organisations, youth groups, networks and public bodies to be a part of it's Youth in Action Programme. The action seeks to support projects that encourage creativity and innovation in non-formal education and youth work. In 2009, priority will be assigned to projects focussing on the themes of media literacy of young people and e-youth work.

Youth in Action is the EU Programme for young people aged 15-28 (in some cases 13-30). It aims to inspire a sense of active citizenship, solidarity and tolerance among young Europeans and to involve them in shaping the Union's future. A programme for all! It promotes mobility within and beyond the EU borders, non-formal learning and intercultural dialogue, and encourages the inclusion of all young people, regardless of their educational, social and cultural background.

Projects must involve partners from at least four different Programme Countries (including the applicant organisation), of which at least one is a Member State of the European Union.
