Bournemouth Arts Grants

Bournemouth Arts Grants support small-scale arts projects taking place in or with clear links to Bournmeouth, which involve people working through creative ideas. Grants are for £100-£800, and have previously funded such projects as festivals and theatre groups, older people working with school children, artists’ residencies in day centres, arts in hospitals, writing, video, and much more. Open to individuals, charities, arts organisations and schools.

Who can apply?
- All community, arts or voluntary organisations
- Individual arts practitioners (artists, crafts people, musicians, dancers, writers, singers, etc) where the project will benefit a wider group of people
- Day centres and residential homes where the proposed project is outside the scope of normal activities
- Schools and colleges aiming to develop arts activities which link young people with the broader community, and where the project is outside the scope of curriculum activities

If you have an idea but are not sure how to develop it, or would like to discuss your project, please contact the Arts Development Officer (details below).

How much can I apply for?
From £100 - £800.  However, grants cannot be made for the total cost of any project: applicants need to cover at least 25% of total project costs from other sources.

How and when to apply
The next deadline is February 28 2010

Download Guidelines (including guidance on completing the Application Form and how to get help with writing it; the application process and how long it will take; conditions of the Grant; and what the Grant will not support) and an Application Form (both will open in a new window as Word documents).
