The Garfield Weston Foundation supports registered charities working in the fields of education, the arts, health (including research), welfare, environment, religion (including churches) and other areas of general benefit to the community. The Foundation will also consider applications from a limited number of exempt organisations - churches, educational establishments, hospitals and housing corporations, but not from individuals.
Usually only small contributions to a specific project or part of a project are awarded. There are no formal deadlines for submitting applications and organisations should allow approximately four months for a final outcome, though acknowledgement letters are sent within four weeks. Please note that once an acknowledgement letter has been sent there is typically no further correspondence until the outcome of the application.
