BADA Theatre School - Call for Young Actors
Professional actors, James Bowden and Laura Roxburgh are inviting young actors between the ages of 12-18 to join them during the summer to learn new theatre skills, with BADA (Bowden Academy of Dramatic Arts) based at Poole Grammar School.

BADA is part of Poole Grammar School's Extended Schools Programme where James Bowden is Head of Drama. The Summer School is run by James, and his wife Laura Roxburgh, both of who are professional actors. Their performance experience ranges from commercials, ITV Dramas to West End plays and musicals - they have been following the dream since they were both 6 years old!

The key difference from other Youth Theatre Schools is that with BADA there are strong educational links through Poole Grammar School and also they are offering the opportunity to gain the nationally accredited Arts Award.

BADA intend to provide young people aged 12-18 with the opportunity to benefit from REAL professional experience and learn the skills required to perform whilst gaining confidence and other key life skills.

On the website, you will see that James and Laura have produced and directed the last three productions at Poole Grammar School with considerable success and also produced (and performed in) their own original play through their professional theatre company Wooden O.
