Laughter & Tears was a Cultural Hub project inspired by the experiences and work of poet and broadcaster, Michael Rosen, now Children’s Laureate. Together with John Foster and Paul Cookson they held poetry sessions in Bournemouth Library to encourage creative ideas from the young people about their life experiences, both happy & sad.
Students from Stourfield Junior, Haymoor Middle, St Walburga's and St Peter's worked with the authors and poets to develop their own writing. A printed book of all their work was produced, and displayed along with handcrafted poetry books made by the students, at Bournemouth Library.
