Digital:works Our Working Lives project - Call for young people under 26

Digital:works are working with a group of volunteers from Poole and Parkstone along with Poole Museum local history centre to investigate how work patterns have changed from the 20th to the 21st century. The 'Our Working Lives, then and now project' aims to explore the range of work on offer and the type of employment people have undertaken over the last sixty years. They are now wishing to interview young people under the age of 26 to incorporate their working experiences in this project.

AccessArt - call for images of fantastic making projects!

AccessArt is ten years old! To celebrate we'd like to create an online gallery of all the fantastic things that children make - at home or at school. They might be models, sculptures, pots, jewellery, hats, inventions, furniture, clothes, dollshouses... it can be anything - as long as it is made by a child (aged 4 to 16), and is three dimensional.

Pavilion Dance is looking for Dance Teachers autumn 2010 season
Pavilion Dance, Bournemouth's new contemporary dance centre, is looking for Dance Teachers for autumn 2010. As a lead up to the opening in September, a series of taster classes are running in the Pavilion Ballroom, and Pavilion Dance are now looking for additional teachers for autumn 2010. They are looking to hear from dance teachers who are interested in running a weekly class in line with their ethos to 'do dance differently'.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation - Education and Learning Funding
The Paul Hamlyn Foundation is currently accepting applications under its Education and Learning programme. In particular, the Foundation is looking to fund projects that address the themes of supplementary education and developing speaking and listening skills for 11-19 year olds. Open to early years settings, schools, youth centres and charities, and applications can be received at any time.

Dance classes for all at Pavilion Dance!

Bournemouth residents and visitors of all ages are invited to try different dance styles from belly dancing to Baby Bop at new daily dance classes at the Pavilion Ballroom. A new range of taster dance classes organised by Pavilion Dance as a forerunner to the world-class dance centre opening in the Pavilion this autumn will start on Monday 19th April.  The new classes have been devised to appeal to a wide range of ages and abilities, and are available for over 50s, children under 5 and their parents, adults, participants with physical disabilities and professional dancers.

Poole Literary Festival (PLF) Young People's Programme - An invitation to get involved!
Poole Literary Festival (PLF) is a new literary event celebrating the past, present & future of the word and will take place 29th - 31st October 2010 in various venues around Poole. We are a not for profit organisation that wishes to raise the profile of literature and to help promote Poole as a cultural destination by establishing a festival that the local community can be proud of and fully engage with whilst attracting new people to the area. We are now seeking young people to get involved as volunteers in this exciting event.
