Event title Artsmark Surgery #1
Where: St Mark's Primary School - Bournemouth
Category: Teachers

Event description:

One-to-one surgey sessions to discuss your Artsmark application, work through a draft application and gain advice and answers to your questions. Sessions will be half an hour long from 4pm.

Artsmark is a national award scheme managed by the Arts Council England, awarded to schools who show a commitment to the full range of arts - music, dance, drama and art & design. The Artsmark is available to all schools in England and is awarded after an application, assessment and validation process. Schools can apply for one of three levels - Artsmark, Artsmark Silver or Artsmark Gold.

By spending the time on applying for an Artsmark award, pupils and parents know that your school is especially interested in the arts. Furthermore, feedback from teachers and headteachers who have completed the application process shows they have found it a very worthwhile process.

Whether you already have Artsmark status and are wanting to proceed to the next step, or are considering appling for the first time, the Artsmark award will bring many benefits to your school, teachers, management and students.

A second Surgery Sessions will take place on Wednesday 31st October 2007 from 4:00.

Application packs now available from www.artsmark.co.uk
