Artsmark - recognition and reward for schools dedicated to the arts
Artsmark is a national award scheme managed by Arts Council England that recognises schools with a high level of provision in the arts. The scheme is open to all schools in England - primary, secondary, special schools and pupil referral units, both maintained and independent.

By gaining an Artsmark, which can be at one of three levels – Artsmark, Silver, and Gold, a school shows its commitment to the wider development of young people and teachers and to raising the profile of the arts in the school and local community. The award recognises, promotes and spreads good practice on how to provide the arts in education, gives young people more opportunities to access the arts and encourages schools, arts organisations and artists to work together.

wave offer support to schools in Bournemouth and Poole who want to apply for or renew their Artsmark Award. This is through ad hoc support where required as well as the following scheduled sessions:

Round 9

Breifing -  11th Sept, 4.15 - 5.30pm @ Bournemouth Learning Centre.
An introduction to the scheme and any changes in criteria from the previous round, and

One-to-one surgeries - 14th Oct, from 3.30pm (half an hour slots) @ Baden Powell and St Peter's School, Poole.
                                           4th Nov, from 4.15pm  (half an hour slots) @ venue to be confirmed.
