Artsmark is a national award scheme managed by the Arts Council England, awarded to schools who show a commitment to the full range of arts - music, dance, drama and art & design. The Artsmark is available to all schools in England and is awarded after an application, assessment and validation process. Schools can apply for one of three levels - Artsmark, Artsmark Silver or Artsmark Gold.

wave- arts education agency can help support you in this process through this briefing session for more information, introduction to the process and how best to manage it; and two one-to-one surgeries for help with drafting applications (dates below).

By spending the time on applying for an Artsmark award, pupils and parents know that your school is especially interested in the arts. Furthermore, feedback from teachers and headteachers who have completed the application process shows they have found it a very worthwhile process.

Whether you already have Artsmark status and are wanting to proceed to the next step, or are considering appling for the first time, the Artsmark award will bring many benefits to your school, teachers, management and students.
