Artsmark is the national award for education settings to benchmark their arts provision and ensure children and young people are engaging with broad, high-quality arts. The scheme is managed by Arts Council England, and supported by DFE, DCMS and Ofsted.
Over 10,000 awards have been achieved by schools in the last 10 years, and now, after a gap year to refresh and update the scheme, it's back, with Round 12 closing on 12th January 2012. Why not join the growing body of schools holding the award, and evaluate, celebrate and develop your quality arts education and cultural offer for children and young people?
Artsmark training and support
wave arts education agency is the official Artsmark trainer for Bournemouth and Poole, on behalf of Arts Council England, and is offering the following training and support to all schools. All sessions will take place at Bournemouth Learning Centre, Ensbury Avenue, BH10 4HG. The costs are per school, so additional colleagues from the same school can also attend at no extra charge.
Artsmark: How to apply for the revised award, £50 - Thursday 20th October 1-3.30 @ BLC
This session will give a brief overview of the award, and focus on guiding applicants through the new online application system, with the opportunity to start your own application at this session.
Please note the 'Artsmark: full training for schools' session, scheduled for 13th Oct, has been cancelled and so elements of this broader training will now be included in this session on the 20th Oct, making it also suitable for those with little experience of the award.
Artsmark: One-to-one surgeries, £50, up to 2 hours
A popular option for those wanting direct advice and guidance on their completed/draft application before submission - this compliments the training sessions and takes place at your setting at a time of your choosing.
