Understanding Schools
Would you like an insight into how schools work? Do you wish that you could tap into the schools market more effectively? Do you have arts skills that you could be sharing with teachers, children and young people but not sure where to start?

This seminar will mix presentations and practical activities, led by two Dorset teachers (primary and secondary) and your local arts education agency staff. You will come away with an understanding of: the national curriculum; how to build a relationship with a school; how to effectively market your services to schools; how to go about planning school-based projects; examples of artist-led school projects and the lessons learnt; an action plan for how to take your ideas forward.
